Dear Internet Archive

I am to discuss some certain issues I’ve found regarding the site map on the Wayback Machine.

Issue #1: While the site map can handle so much archived pages, when it comes to most of them like YouTube (specifically youtu.be) I will get an error saying, “Fail with status: 504.”

Issue #2: In similar vein to issue #1, whilst there are so much results on the site map circle, it takes a lot of time to look through the results, so for myself to do so, I will need to use the tab key, which is still very slow.

Solution to #1: What I would propose, is for the site map to have two modes. One mode can have all the archived pages by year, while the other mode would be similar, except limiting the number of results, and dividing them into sub-pages with the other results coming up in a new site map circle, that way it will make the site maps less strainful to navigate.

Solution to #2: In order to fix the problem, I would propose having a url keyword search bar for the site map, and that way people can look through the site map more efficiently and easier.

Thanks for taking the time to read, and have a nice day.

Sincerely, Andrew Matchett.
