Good show after Box of Rain. Phil must have had too many beers or something. IMO Phil doesn't have a good voice but I love to hear him sing. He usually projects his emotion for a song very well. Grate sound quality from C Miller once again.

This would be the one and only run at this monstrosity. We were on the lawn for all three nights and had a grand time.The sun was out this day and it would become a perfect night. This second show may be the best of the three, although there are a couple bumps in the road now and then, maily from good ole Jerry :). The first set is very good with a surprise Box of Rain into a rollicking Stranger. Phil is really into this one. Loser is awesome, actually perfect, and Brent really shines on the B3.I think it is a 27 beat BIODTL, they are having fun. Mid set West LA is very cool. Far from Me is really good with a great ending. Tennessee Jed and Bucket really push it over the top with screeching solos by Jerry. Healy has Bob in the echo chamber at the end of Bucket, hilarious.
Set two is very good and features a happening Samson to get everyone grooving and then Brent steals the set by playing a scorching Hey Pocky Way. Estimated> Eyes is the last one for awhile. Eyes is the better on the two and played at the faster tempo. The post space is really quite good with a long majestic Wheel, with great vocals, into a pumping Gimme Some Lovin'. Stella was a nice suprise and is quite good.It is very reflective with more of a somber approach and the ending is remenisent of a '74 version. A huge T Stones with Phil once again letting his presence be known into a power house Lovelight that has the band really driving it like we all love it. Knockin' is excellent with superb harmonies and Brent even does a short scat before his solo,a beautiful version. To have Brent and Phil sing in both sets was a grand treat.Quality is excellent with crisp high end and clear bass. Nice work CM.
