Subject: Kansas City
Good movie, but the only thing "Kansas City" in it is that single still at the beginning.

Subject: An enjoyable movie
I sat down and watched it with my wife and we both enjoyed it. I can see many story elements that have been reused in later films.

Subject: A "nearly" Perfect Bank JOB ~ GREAT plot~ 5 STAR~
PLOT: nearly perfect bank job the slant is all the robbers do not KNOW each other due to masks. Tim Foster watches the bank for weeks and comes with a clever robbery plot: he recruits 3 looser ex cons on the run~ including Jack Elam and Neville Brand~ who ALL wear masks so no one knows who the other is~ no chance of turning against each other. using a FAKE flower truck they halt the armored truck and rob it and get away clean by driving the flower truck into a semi~ with a clean get away they are to meet in Mexico to divy up the dough later only clue is a half of playing CARD KING to prove their id~ JOHN PAYNE as the ex con REAL floral truck driver who is the patsy and gets arrested for a crime he did not comit. later released he travels to Mexico on a tip~ and takes the ID of Elam~ to get rich and EVEN~ the slant on this one is Tim Foster is an ex cop who planned it and carried out the crime~ for the REWARD not the loot~ add his overly goody goody daughter who finds Payne *facinating*~ this is a great movie~ the plot is solid and the characters are first rate~ if you want a excellent heist movie~ this is it~ Preston Foster is Tim Foster is EX COP who wants to make crime finally pay for him~ I GIVE THIS ONE 5 STARS ALL THE WAY~

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the "oddball" Matroska file. The files on the other page were derived from it. If your software can't handle it, you need to change your software.

You ask for an mpeg2 file with a resolution of 720x480. The mpeg2 file on the other page has a resolution of 704x480, which is a standard NTSC resolution; the difference is negligible.

Subject: Can this be uploaded as an MPEG 2?
I'm having a hard time with these oddball formatted files. The MPEG 2 on the other page is a lower-quality file; can a better MPEG2 be uploaded? One that's 720x480 would be nice too. Thanks.

Subject: Total Noir!
For the noir fan, this movie has it all...Cops, damsel-in-distress, handsome hero, and villan Jack Elam before he put on his chaps and cowboy hat. I bought the DVD. Watch it.

Subject: A bonafide classic!
This is genuine film noir classic. It possesses all the elements. It is great from start to finish and the film techniques are film noir throughout. I was lucky enough to write, produce & directed Coleen Gray in 1977 and 1978 Forgotten Lady and Mother, two indie films I shot in Houston, Texas. She was very unsure of her status in film history, now at 88, I believe she accepts her contribution to film is quite profound. Thanks for sharing this film on archive.org.
